New Prenatal Testing (NIPT) Over 28,000 completed cases You can take the test
with an easy mind.
There are several NIPT tests available, but which one should I choose… The Minimum Plan seems to be more affordable for the cost of the test, but what do you think?
I know you are probably anxious about the NIPT test because it is not a test that is taken often. The Minimum Plan is an affordable plan that can test for Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21) as well as Trisomy 18 and 13.

I see that you can now take the new stand-alone chromosome test。
If it were a single chromosome, it would beI need to know only chromosome 21 (Down syndrome). You can also test for people who have Also, you can choose to have a specific chromosome abnormality in a relative and want to test only for that.
You can choose tests that are not available elsewhere, while at the same timeAt HUMEDIT, you can receive a safe and reliable examination at a reasonable cost。

Distribution of Positive Cases of HUMEDIT NIPT (June 2020~)
Source: HUMEDIT survey
The chart above shows the distribution of positive cases since June 2020. About a quarter of the positive cases tested at Hiro Clinic NIPT fall into the Autosomal Stand-alone Testing Plan(Chromosomes 1 to 22) that tests for Trisomy 21.
The Minimum Plan which tests for trisomy 21, 18, and 13, which are included in the NIPT Consortium testing, accounts for 48% of the total number of positive results. In addition to trisomy 21, 18, and 13, which can be tested in the over35 Plan and Full Set Plan, Autosomal trisomy/monosomy other than chromosomes 21,18 &13 accounts for 21% of the total number of positives. In particular, trisomy on all chromosomes is more likely to be detected in pregnant women over 35 years of age, and we recommend that these tests be performed in pregnant women over 35 years of age.
The All autosomal partial deletions and duplications, which is included in the Full Set Plan, account for 18% of the total number of positive cases, about the same as the number of positive cases for Trisomy 18.
The detection of All autosomal partial deletions and duplications is likely to involve more than 7 million base pairs, which includes about 140,000 base pairs of exon regions, which are likely to be moderately to severely disabling. In some cases, even a single base change in an exon region can cause disease.
It is important to carefully consider the cost and coverage of the test and choose a test plan that you are satisfied with.
