Privacy Policy

HUMEDIT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") as follows regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").

1. Information Collection and Collection Methods

In this Policy, "User Information" means information related to users, including information for identification of users, behavioral history on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in relation to users or users' terminals, which the Company collects based on this Policy. Depending on the collection method, the user information collected by the Company in the Services will be as follows:

(1) Information Provided by Users

The information provided by users for using the Services or through the use of the Services is as follows:

  • Information related to profiles such as name, date of birth, gender, occupation, etc.
  • Contact information such as email address, phone number, address, etc.
  • Information related to payment methods such as credit card information, bank account information, electronic money information, etc.
  • Still image information including user's portrait
  • Information entered or submitted by users through input forms or other methods specified by the Company

(2) Information Provided by Other Services through User's Consent for Integration with Other Services in Using the Services

When users allow integration with other services such as social networking services in using the Services, the Company collects the following information from such external services based on the content agreed upon during such permission:

  • User IDs used in such external services
  • Other information disclosed by users to the integration destination based on the privacy settings of such external services

(3) Information Collected by the Company in Using the Services by Users

The Company may collect information regarding the access status to the Services and the usage methods thereof. This includes the following information:

  • Referrer
  • IP address
  • Information related to server access logs
  • Identifiers such as Cookies, ADID, IDFA, etc.

(4) Information Collected by the Company from the User's Device Based on Individual Consent of the User in Using the Services

When users individually consent in the manner prescribed in 3-1, the Company collects the following information from the user's device:

  • Location information

2. Purpose of Use

The specific purposes of using user information related to the provision of the Services are as follows:

  • Acceptance of registration for the Services, identity verification, user authentication, recording of user settings, calculation of service fees, etc., for the provision, maintenance, protection, and improvement of the Services
  • Traffic measurement and behavior measurement of users
  • Delivery, display, and effectiveness measurement of advertisements
  • Response to inquiries, etc., regarding the Services
  • Response to acts violating the Company's terms, policies, etc., regarding the Services
  • Notification of changes in the Company's terms, etc., regarding the Services

3. Methods of Notification/Publication or Consent Acquisition, and Method of Requesting Suspension of Use

3-1. The following user information requires the user's consent before its collection:

  • Location information

3-2. Users can request all or part of the suspension of the collection or use of user information by performing the specified settings of the Services. In this case, the Company will promptly suspend the collection or use of such information in accordance with the Company's prescribed procedures. However, depending on the item of user information, if its collection or use is a prerequisite for the Services, the Company will suspend such collection or use only when the user withdraws from the Services through the Company's prescribed methods.

4. External Transmission, Third-Party Provision, and Presence of Information Collection Modules

4-1. In the Services, the following partner(s) may store cookies on user devices and may accumulate and use user information using them:

  • Partner(s)
  • URL of the privacy policy of the above partner(s)
  • Opt-out (disable) URL of the above partner(s)

4-2. The following information collection modules are incorporated into the Services. Accordingly, user information will be provided to the information collection module provider(s) (including those outside Japan) as follows:

  • Name of the information collection module
  • Provider of the information collection module
  • Items of user information provided
  • Means/methods of provision
  • Purposes of use by the above provider
  • Presence of third-party provision by the above provider
  • URL of the privacy policy of the above provider

5. Third-Party Provision

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties (including those outside Japan) without the user's consent, except in cases where it is necessary and falls under the following:

  • When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  • When personal information is provided due to the succession of business due to mergers or other reasons
  • When personal information is provided to partners or information collection module providers based on Section 4
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in executing the affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the user's consent may interfere with the execution of such affairs
  • When permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws regarding the protection of personal information

6. Joint Use

The Company will jointly use user's personal information as follows:

  • Items of personal information jointly used
  • Range of persons jointly using
  • Purposes of use by persons jointly using
  • Name or organization responsible for the management of personal information

7. Disclosure of Personal Information

When requested by a user based on the Personal Information Protection Law to disclose personal information, the Company will promptly disclose such information to the user after confirming that the request is from the user himself/herself (and notify the user if the personal information does not exist). However, this shall not apply if the Company is not obligated to disclose it under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per request) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

8. Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.

8-1. If a user requests correction of the content of personal information based on the Personal Information Protection Law due to the information being untrue, or requests suspension of its use based on the fact that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use previously announced or because it was collected by fraudulent or other improper means, the Company will promptly conduct necessary investigations based on the request from the user himself/herself, confirm the results, and correct the content of the personal information or suspend its use accordingly, and notify the user thereof. If a decision is made not to make corrections or suspend use, the user will be notified accordingly.

8-2. If a user requests deletion of personal information, and the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to such request, the Company will promptly delete the personal information after confirming that the request is from the user himself/herself, and notify the user thereof.

8-3. The provisions of 8-1 and 8-2 do not apply when the Company is not obligated to correct, suspend use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws.

10. Procedure for Changing Privacy Policy

The Company may change this Policy as necessary. However, in the case of changes to this Policy that require the user's consent under the law, the revised Policy will apply only to users who have agreed to the changes in the manner prescribed by the Company. The Company will notify users of the effective date and contents of the revised Policy by posting it on the Company's website or by other appropriate means, or by notifying users.
